Simple care for lasting brilliance
Diamonds attract oil, and everyday residue from skin, lotions and soaps can gradually dull their appearance. Gentle cleaning can help restore the stone’s appearance.
For jewellery suited to home cleaning, use mild soap and water, a soft, clean brush to reach gently behind the stone, then rinse gently and pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Work slowly and over a bowl rather than an open drain.
Before you begin, check treatments and other gems first. Ask your jeweller what is suitable for the setting, any other gemstones in the piece and any treatments the stone may have received. Use a cleaning routine appropriate to the entire piece.
