สเกลสี D ถึง Z
สีของเพชรในช่วงปกติจะประเมินด้วยสเกล D ถึง Z เมื่อไล่จาก D ไปถึง Z จะมีสีปรากฏเพิ่มขึ้นตามลำดับ โดย D–F คือไร้สี G–J คือเกือบไร้สี K–M คือสีจาง N–R คือสีอ่อนมาก และ S–Z คือสีอ่อน

Reading the D–Z scale
The D–Z scale describes increasing colour within the normal diamond colour range. Moving away from D, a diamond shows progressively more colour, usually a subtle warmth.
The scale is grouped into categories. D–F is colourless, G–J near colourless, K–M faint, N–R very light and S–Z light. Within each group, the differences between neighbouring grades are often subtle and are assessed by trained graders under controlled conditions.
Fancy-colour diamonds, such as pinks, blues or deeper yellows, are assessed with a different system altogether. The illustrated colours explain the categories; they are not reference samples for grading a diamond. When you compare diamonds, rely on the colour grade in the laboratory report and view the stones themselves, including in the setting you intend to wear.
