คู่มือสีเหลืองนี้แสดงลักษณะสีเหลืองเก้าแบบ สามแบบแรกอยู่ในช่วงสเกล D–Z ได้แก่ สีเหลืองจาง (K–M) สีเหลืองอ่อนมาก (N–R) และสีเหลืองอ่อน (S–Z) ตามด้วยคำบรรยายสีแฟนซีอีกหกแบบ
สิ่งสำคัญคือ แถวแรกและแถวสีแฟนซีเป็นบริบทการให้เกรดคนละระบบกัน เพชรในช่วง D–Z ประเมินด้วยสเกลสีปกติ ขณะที่เพชรสีแฟนซีใช้คำบรรยายสีอีกแบบหนึ่ง

Nine shades, two grading contexts
This yellow guide includes nine illustrated appearances. The first three sit within the D–Z range: faint yellow (K–M), very light yellow (N–R) and light yellow (S–Z). The remaining examples illustrate six fancy-colour descriptions.
The first row and the fancy-colour rows represent different grading contexts. A diamond in the D–Z range is graded on the normal colour scale, while a fancy yellow is described using fancy-colour terminology.
Within the fancy descriptions, vivid means strong saturation, while dark and deep involve a darker tone. They describe different qualities rather than steps on one ladder. The colours shown are illustrative and are not grading samples, so always read the description on the stone’s report.
