Three steps to verify your IGI report
Verifying a diamond report helps you check that its details agree with the laboratory’s record. Always use the issuing laboratory’s official verification service. For Maylaya Gems diamonds, that means verifying your IGI report on the IGI website.
First, visit the laboratory’s official website. Second, enter the report number. Third, compare the report details shown online with the document in your hands: shape, measurements, carat weight and grading results should all agree.
A matching record is useful, but it is only one part of checking. The physical diamond must also match the documentation. Ask your jeweller to match the stone, too, using its measurements and any inscription on the girdle, alongside the other identifying details in the report.
