Your diamond report checklist
An IGI diamond report describes much more than carat weight. It identifies origin, natural or laboratory-grown, and documents the stone’s shape and measurements, giving you the outline and dimensions of the diamond in front of you.
Next come the grading results: carat, colour, clarity and cut where provided. These results should be read together with the rest of the report. Read the comments section as well, where additional details and disclosures are recorded.
Keep in mind that a grading report describes the stone’s characteristics; it is not itself a price appraisal. If any line is unclear, ask Maylaya Gems to walk you through your diamond’s report. Understanding each section makes it easier to compare stones and ask precise questions.
